Sometimes, well most of the time, our lives are extremely fast paced that time just flies by without allowing you the time to feel for anything happening around you. People come and go. Your emotions are on a roller-coaster. You barely have time for yourself, yet alone for anyone else. Sometimes, just sometimes, I wish I can just stop time, take a breather and absorb everything around me (Oh Hiro! I wish I could bend time!)
Sometimes, I remember some of the villages I visited in Lebanon. I used to watch some of the old people. They would wake up at the break of dawn, in the mountains, surrounded by nature, with the sound of birds, have their healthy breakfast and then work on their land. They would have a healthy lunch then laze around until the early evening, and play backgammon with their neighbor before have a healthy dinner and then head to sleep with the sound of crickets.
Sometimes, being in such an atmosphere gives you the chance to breathe and absorb.
Sometimes, I wish we all lived like that in our little homes with just the necessities of life. If everyone did live like that, wouldn’t we have peace on Earth?!
A breath of fresh air…
Yes, time does fly….. and its kind of scary.
Time passes slowly up here in the mountains,
We sit beside bridges and walk beside fountains,
Catch the wild fishes that float through the stream,
Time passes slowly when you’re lost in a dream.
Once I had a sweetheart, she was fine and good-lookin’,
We sat in her kitchen while her mama was cookin’,
Stared out the window to the stars high above,
Time passes slowly when you’re searchin’ for love.
Ain’t no reason to go in a wagon to town,
Ain’t no reason to go to the fair.
Ain’t no reason to go up, ain’t no reason to go down,
Ain’t no reason to go anywhere.
Time passes slowly up here in the daylight,
We stare straight ahead and try so hard to stay right,
Like the red rose of summer that blooms in the day,
Time passes slowly and fades away.
Maya… quite scary
Rob.. nice!!
But I want the Internet, and the new Big LCDs and a fast new laptop and some photo shop and a good camera and a nice roaring bike,
2 days in the village and we disappear !!!!!!!
the u wont have blogging nor ur new phone
but yeah i agree with u, simplicity rids us of all the complications in life. Looking forward to going home and spending some time in my village……. if there is anything left of it after what has been happening recently.
fadibou and fonzy… but we would be relaxed
Often ornateness
Goes with greatness;
Oftener felicity
Comes of simplicity.
