Located in downtown L.A., The Edison, used to be the first private power plant in downtown L.A. and has been converted into a lounge that celebrates “an era of imagination and invention — the blending of science, art and industry.”
The Edison still has large original metal machinery and has added sleek leather couches, art-deco lighting, projections of silent movies, waitresses in 20s dresses creating an atmosphere that mixes the rough industrial image with the glamor of the 20s era.
The Edison is the place to go and chill after a long and rough day at work by enjoying live music. Below are some pictures of the location. It definitely is a place a person should check out. Visit their website to find their location and remain updated with their upcoming events.

I went to Los Angeles for a 2 week vacation. I must say I was in desperate need for this vacation. I had an amazing time there and I have returned refreshed.
For those of you who have me on facebook, I have 12 albums uploaded there.
For those of you expecting me to write about the current political situation in Lebanon, don’t dream of it.
I am thinking of writing up a couple of posts about some of the places I visited on my vacation. I just might do so…
Also I must say “Mission Accomplished - History cleared”

All the country seems to care about are the hand-full of politicians instead of the people of Lebanon.
Such a shame…

Don’t be shy
Note: Hessa is one of those readers who are too shy to comment. Are you another Hessa?

I logged on to Facebook today to find that I can chat with my friends online.
There has been mixed feelings about it.
My initial reaction was cool! Now I can chat with people here who I would not want to add to my messenger.
I didn’t like the thought of appearing online though since I have never appeared online on facebook!
Everyone seems to think that if people thought facebook was addictive before, what would happen now?
Also, if business and colleges were blocking facebook before, I think the remaining places that have not blocked it yet, will do so soon.
I don’t like the fact that they don’t have block options and so forth.
Bottom line is you have a choice of whether you want to chat or not but simply appearing online or offline. For now, I will fool around with it and see how I feel about it.

Our status won’t change. I can’t see comments people have left on my pics.
It actually says 0 friends online!!!
We can’t seem to ignore applications or add applications.

I was on Facebook (as usual) when I noticed some of my friends joined a group called Wixel Studios. I decided to check out the group and in the Recent News section, I read the following:
Welcome to the WixelStudios.com Group.
It is our pleasure to present you with our 100% Lebanese made games!
Following the short (24 hours) yet successful release of “DOUMA”, we are pleased to inform you that the game created by one of Wixel’s founders, Ziad Feghali, is now available here.
Be ready for more new games starting next month!
So, I then checked out the game and cracked up while playing. You guys should try it!
Remember the old fighting games such as Mortal Kombat? You know those video games where 2 characters fight each other in 2D? Well it’s the same concept where the characters are some of the prominent Lebanese politicians. Nayla Mouwad just cracked me up on her vespa too!!
